POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining the general appearance and cleanliness of the resident apartments at Heritage Estates.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General cleaning of the facility including but not limited to: dusting, mopping, trash disposal, wiping down of walls, fixtures, equipment and furniture, window washing, disinfecting, clean/soiled linen distribution, and refilling soap/paper goods dispensers.
- Keeps housekeeping supply storage areas in clean and orderly condition.
- Applies adequate safeguards in the use and storage of equipment and supplies for the protection of employees, residents and visitors. Maintains equipment in safe condition.
- Maintains awareness and practice of good infection control techniques including isolation and isolations room protocols; reports possible infection control problems to supervisor or member of infection control committee.
- Participates regularly in continuing education programs offered through or by the hospital and the department in-service schedule.
- Attends department meetings, unless excused by supervisor.
- Knows and adheres to general hospital/departmental policies and procedures including safety policies, dress code, disaster plan, and confidentiality and infection control.
- Performs other job related duties as directed by the supervisor.
Position will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-3pm
