Sports Reporter - The Roanoke Times

The Roanoke Times is seeking a reporter to cover high school sports in the Roanoke and New River valleys. The job includes game coverage, features, a regular prep notebook, updating scores and standings for online and print roundups, enterprise reporting and selecting regional all-stars by sport. The candidate must be able to take photos and video, and must be adept at using social media both for storytelling and to find story ideas. The job requires regularly working nights and occasionally working weekends depending upon the sports season. Please submit at least three writing samples with your online application.
