The Opportunity: The HIM Operations Supervisor leads the daily activities of the department. Hires, trains, and coaches team members, assists in development of policies and procedures, maintains confidentiality. Performs team member daily workload as necessary. Responsible for oversight of chart retrieval, prep, indexing, document imaging, analysis, and reviews for incomplete chart information. Responsible for release of information, transcription, record retention and delinquency/deficiency analysis. This position will also serve in a technological aspect, performing IT functions and training HIM team related to EHR/EMR applications. Will also troubleshoot, test, implement upgrades and maintenance and provide client support of EHR applications. Proactively participates in process improvement initiatives and collaborates with leadership to implement improvements in HIM department.

Minimum Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2 or more years of experience in HIM or 2 or more years of experience in healthcare setting or related industry. Experience Meditech EHR/EMR applications and 2 years supervisory experience in healthcare preferred.
- Certification: RHIT/RHIA preferred
- Skills/Knowledge: Has computer technology knowledge, strong troubleshooting and ability to analyze skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
