ENSCO, Inc. Mission Systems Group (MSG) is seeking a Research Coordinator to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Test and Evaluation Center located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This team provides test and evaluation support for Homeland Security acquisition programs and provides technical and strategic products across the following critical areas. In this role you will coordinate technical roundtables across multiple critical areas, distill myriad topics into specific research tasks, and work with leading universities to scope and produce focused research products.

Core Responsibilities and daily activities:

  • Work with immediate team and HS leadership to scope research activities
  • Become a critical area technical expert by collaborating with experts
  • Plan and execute 2-3 roundtable events each year with top researchers
  • Roundtables are 1-2 days events that focus on critical interest (listed below)
  • The meetings include briefings and discussions with experts in these areas
  • Roundtables are attended by experts across government, industry and academia
  • Coordinate roundtable output with HS to distill and determine research focus areas
  • Work with our customer’s contract program manager and assign and fund University research
  • Develop practical work products for use by HS (best practices, case studies, white papers) that drive future HS T&E plans
  • Track research efforts and communicate progress and results to leadership
  • Establish a strategic T&E technology plan that anticipates changing threats due to critical area technologies

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with developing the scope of research activities
  • AN ACTIVE DOD TOP SECRET (TS) CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • Telework – Available with COR approval

Qualifications Desired

  • PhD (physical science, engineering, operations research, math)
  • Demonstrated experience in testing operational systems (hardware and software)
  • DAWIA level III in engineering and/or test and evaluation
  • Ten years of defense or related T&E experience
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning
  • Active Top-Secret clearance
