Homepage Producer, Chron
Chron is seeking a homepage editor with strong editorial judgement and a keen understanding for content management systems. This person ’ s primary role will be to curate the homepage and be in constant communication with Chron ’ s editors and writers, so they understand the various stages stories are in during the edit process. From there, they will plan when and where each story will be promoted. The ideal candidate will have strong news judgment since a large part of their role will be keeping an eye on the wire and finding stories from third-party publications we have relationships with that best serve the Houston and Texas audience to fill out Chron ’ s coverage with relevant, smart, and engaging content. This person will also be responsible for understanding every element of Hearst ’ s CMS, working with the product team when problems arise and helping train new employees during onboarding.
