A Hospitalist Physician provides the following professional medical health care duties and serves as the physician for hospitalized patients: perform physical examination; order test and laboratory work; diagnose and treat disease, injuries, and illnesses; determine the nature and extent of the disease, injury, or illness; interpret laboratory results; prescribe medication; provide medical clearance prior to surgery; provide timely notification to primary physicians regarding admission, diagnosis, and discharge.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school- Successful completion of residency program in area of specialty
- BC / BE Internal or Family Medicine
- Must possess a current license to practice medicine in the state of Arizona and DEA
