REPORTS TO: General Manager & Executive Chef
PRIMARY JOB GOAL:
- Prepare, cook, bake and serve a variety of meals throughout the week for an professional Atlanta sporting team. Assist in any and all other food preparation duties as directed. Prepare and set up café area. Interact in a professional manner with both players and athletic department staff. Maintain facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist, in a timely manner, in determining appropriate quantity of food items for cooking, baking and serving; adjust and extend recipes as needed; maintain food quality standards including appearance and nutritional requirements
- Monitor temperatures of food to assure safety and quality of standards are met; monitor water temperatures to assure proper temperature for sanitizing
- Merchandise and serve food according to established guidelines and replenish as needed
- Clean café equipment, utensils and appliances and properly store food supplies; assure compliance with kitchen sanitation and safety procedures and regulations; clean refrigerators and storerooms as required
- Assist in storing unused food and supplies; dispose of unusable leftovers; utilize proper methods of handling foods to be stored
- Assist with inventory and maintain routine records as directed; prepare records of foods cooked and foods leftover
- Perform related duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the General Manager and/or Executive Chef
- Be clean, neat and professionally dressed at all times
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Lift heavy objects up to 25 pounds
- Work independently with little direction
- Be consistently responsible, maintaining regular attendance and timely completion of assigned duties.
- Maintain professional interpersonal skills using tact, patience, courtesy and cooperative effective relationships with others and consistently display self-control, honesty and credibility with athletes, staff, guests and other building personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all guests. A contract of confidentiality and non-disclosure will be required at time of hire.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Any combination equivalent to high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Georgia law and experience in food service operations.
