HOST/HOSTESS JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Class: Non-exempt Reports To: Floor Manager

Job Summary: Extend awarm, friendly, and immediate greeting to guests at the door and seat guests, presenting clean menus in a professional and quick manner.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:NOTE: Nexus Brewery unilaterally may change the requirements of this job description at any time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Greet and seat guests and present menus to guests.

· Treat guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.

· Take names on a waiting list and run the floor plan board.

· Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.

· Take guest information and quote wait to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.

· Cleans, organize and stock menus at host/hostess area.

· Answer phone and answer questions concerning the menu and restaurant.

· Interact with guests during visit and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.

· Fill and deliver to go orders.

· Assist with pre-bus, running food, clearing tables and filling drinks when needed.

· Maintain restrooms throughout shift.

• Ensure that health and safety regulations are maintained at all times.
• Communication with Supervisors and/or Managers regarding guest issues in need of immediate attention.

· Clean parking lot and front entrance daily and address any safety concerns.

· Assist with snow and/or ice removal, as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

· High School Diploma/GED Equivalent preferred

· Alcohol Server Certified or willing to obtain certification within an expected time frame.

· Customer Service skills

· Excellent communication skills.

• Must pass a criminal background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $11.50 per hour
