JOB SUMMARY: The host is responsible for assisting in the overall experience of the guests. It is the host who will greet and seat the guest, inform the server of reservation notes and support the overall care of our guests. A host should be comfortable with interacting with the guests, hip and friendly while maintaining a professional attitude. You are able to multitask while staying cool under all situations presented to you.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALITY OF OPERATIONS:
The host is responsible for assisting the guest to ensure that their restaurant experience is at or above our standards. The host must assist in operating the restaurant in accordance with the company's policies and guidelines. The host must have attention to detail in all areas of the operation, including food, service, hospitality, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation. In particular:

  • Showing up on time and in proper uniform and with required materials to be
  • Greeting guests in a timely and friendly manner and informs guests of their wait time.
  • Shows guests to their table and informs them who their server will be.
  • Consistently monitor opened tables and assist in OpenTable management.
  • Performs light housekeeping duties such as cleaning menus, and ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked, and kept
  • Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints and inquiries
  • Responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards in the outlet and upkeep on all service equipment in your area.
  • Inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean as needed
  • Respond appropriately to guest Communicate guest requests to the server as needed.
  • Communicate with server to assure efficient seating, table utilization, and customer
  • Assist server as needed with table management.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate
  • Bid farewell to guests as they leave the restaurant.
  • Be responsible for YOUR side
COMMUNICATION:
The host is responsible for ensuring that proper communication occurs between the guest and the rest of the staff; including but not limited to the kitchen staff, server, food runner, manager, and another host. The host should always be apprised of all happenings in and around the tables and guests. A host must also be comfortable and confident speaking in person and on the phone with guests. Multitasking and have a strong memory or ability to write down notes quickly and accurately are imperative.
