Job description

The Hotel Maintenance position requires maintaining the entire hotel facility and ensure the upkeep of public spaces, guest rooms and exterior of the building. This position would be perfect for a retired person looking for part time work.

This is a hands on position and the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and all related equipment.

• You must be able to complete minor HVAC/PTAC repairs and maintenance.
• Plumbing to include repairs, clearing clogged waste/drain lines, repair/replace sink/shower faucets, Ice machines and other general plumbing issues.
• Electrical repairs including replacing ballasts, motors, switches, receptacles.
• Paint and wallpaper repairs.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Landscaping.
• Snow removal (shoveling of walkways and other areas)
• Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
• Ability to ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.
• Fire Alarm/Life Safety System - to monitor systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems. To have a working knowledge of fire sprinkler.
• Accident Prevention and Safety - to strive to work in an accident-free manner and to create a safe work environment for others. To continuously look for conditions which may endanger associates or guests of the hotel and to take immediate action to correct any hazardous conditions found.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

• Cobleskill, NY 12043: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Hotel Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
