We are looking for a caring, dependable and enthusiastic Housekeeper to join or team!

This is a full-time day position.

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing housekeeping functions in order to create a safe, secure, and inviting environment for residents, families and team members while meeting and exceeding Praireiview Lutheran Homes service standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates knowledge of department policies and procedures

2. Demonstrates knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment and tools

3. Perform all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within the area of responsibility or as directed by a supervisor

4. Perform related services, such as bed moves, changing mattresses, stocking supplies, etc.

5. Maintains high standards and works steadily at an efficient pace

6. Interacts friendly and supportively with staff, patients, visitors and coworkers

7. Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in a clean, orderly and good operating condition

8. Respects all property of Praireivew Lutheran Home

9. Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.

10. Accepts suggestions and direction from supervisors and staff

11. Honors department’s attendance, break, behavior, dress and safety codes.

12. Accepts and absorbs department education programs

13. Exercises good judgment while working around patients and visitors

14. Always maintains a professional mannerism

15. Takes initiative in rendering service or responding to needs

16. Reports any safety issues for repairs

17. Responds to direction as provided by director

18. Assists other associates as necessary

19. All other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred

2. Ability to handle multiple priorities
