JOB TITLE: Housekeeper (Courthouse)

DEPARTMENT: Public Building

SALARY: Based on experience

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Performs a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of courtrooms, offices and public areas of the Randolph County Courthouse. Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floor surfaces. Maintains bathroom areas in a sanitary state and replenishes paper supplies and soap as necessary. Cleans windows, walls, woodwork, and light fixtures. Empties trash receptacles. Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Education and/or experience in housekeeping work that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade. General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment; ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; maintain safety expectations for the position; display thoroughness and cleanliness; establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates. High School Diploma preferred.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Work hours are 6:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday – Friday. No Holidays or Weekends.
