Primary Purpose of Job

Perform various cleaning and general housekeeping duties in the Kitchen on an assigned shift following established procedures. Experience in Kitchen Sanitation would be preferred.

Job Duties:

• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean baseboards, kickboards and corners.
• Detect and report damaged equipment and unusual conditions to supervisor.
• May be asked to plan and implement floor care maintenance program to ensure all areas are cleaned and burnished weekly.
• Clean equipment daily and recharge battery operated floor machine, if applicable.
• Properly store all supplies in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and accessories.
• Follow established safety regulations.
• May strip and restore tiled floors
• May operate high speedequipment for floor burnishing, carpet cleaning wet and/or dry.
• May train new floor surfacer personnel on use of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain courtyard trash in receptacles outside buildings.
• Follow established safety regulations, maintain equipment and work area in a clean, sanitized and orderly condition per Food Services’ sanitation matrix.
• Maintain high standard of sanitation in food handling and work area per Food Service sanitation matrix.
• Reports any damaged equipment, substandard or spoiled food to supervisor.
• Sets up food trays according to tray ticket making sure the correct diet is adhered to, any needed nourishments are included.
• Assists in assembling food trays, assist with serving food on the tray line and in the main dining room.
• Set up, clear, clean and sanitize dining room tables; clean and sanitize dining room chairs.
• Detect and report damaged equipment of any unusual conditions to supervisor. Maintain supplies used for nourishments and meal preparations in a proper and sanitary manner.
• Adhere to established kosher guidelines.
• Assist with training of new employees as necessary, including food standards, following assigned task list.
• Keep areas organized and clean according to established cleaning schedules.
• Empty and clean out food traps in machines, clean all counters.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Sweep and scrub dish room floor and Parve area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Experience: Food service sanitation and housekeeping experience preferred

· Other: Read the English language.
