How you will serve our residents and our community:
- Consistently and genuinely demonstrates the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation and Success in all activities and interactions.
- Maintains a safe, clean and sanitary environment for the community, residents, family, visitors and associates.
- Assists in the oversight of the efficient operations of the laundry, housekeeping and janitorial services.
- Assigns Housekeepers to specific daily tasks and assignments.
- Participates in new associate orientation training as requested.
- Orders and maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment used by the Department and within the guidelines of the budget.
- Assist in assuring that the community is properly maintained in an orderly, clean and attractive manner and compliant with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Fills in for the Maintenance Director as needed.
- Contribute to marketing efforts through appropriate interactions with prospective residents and guests.
- Participates and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages housekeeping associates under the direction of the Maintenance Director. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with BVSL policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
With our residents in mind, the right candidate will have:
- 4-5 years of direct supervisory or management experience.
- Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer orientation to older adults.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
