Pay: $18-22 DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Location: Mesa, AZ
Primary Responsibilities:
- In partnership with assigned programs/department partners, communicate and maintain compliant policies and processes pertaining to employee records.
- Oversee and maintain personnel electronic file content requirements, processes for responding to personnel file demands and access, retention guidelines, and document destruction policies, practices and procedures
- Identifies new, existing and revised federal, state, county and city employment and labor laws, regulations and enforcement activity, analyzes cross-company compliance risk and recommends policy and procedural changes to HR Leadership
- Advises HR staff of new federal, state, county and city, legislation and regulations relevant to Company's employment law practices and processes
- In conjunction with HR team, creates and implements new and revised processes, system enhancements, and workflows to ensure compliance with federal, state, county regulations
- Builds strong relationships with key internal and external business partners to enhance the integration of compliance requirements into their processes.
- Oversight of the electronic documentation, analysis, reporting and related tasks to ensure ongoing compliance with EEO regulations, as well as all internal audit and compliance-related processes.
- Responsible for compliance and periodic audits related to employee records. Including various background screenings/verifications, I9, Health/TB Clearance, state, federal and funding documentation compliance and other internal/external required training and certification.
- Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.
- High School or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field of study preferred
- Three plus years Human Resources Department experience at a professional level including employee records compliance
- Three or more years of experience working with compliance law issues, including wage and hour, hiring practices, administration, and accommodation
- Experience with HR compliance within a nonprofit is preferred
