In the beginning, UBP started manufacturing hair pieces, tracks of hair and wigs. Additional products for overall beauty and self-well-being have been added and are continuing to be added. We manufacture shampoos, conditioners, moisturizers, wigs, weaves, colors and men’s beard products to name a few.
UBP products can be purchased on our website or at one of our retail partners – CVS, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, HEB, HyVee, Marianos, Publix, Rite Aid, Sally Beauty, Schnucks, Target, Winn Dixie, Walmart & Walgreens.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Full-cycle recruiting. Support recruitment and selection of candidates, recruit, interview, test and select candidates to fill key division positions including all exempt and nonexempt personnel; conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career-pathing program; write and place advertisements as needed.
- Assist with management of performance review process.
- Responsible for the investigation and administration of worker compensation claims, record keeping, and documentation. Works with providers on worker’s compensation case management. Take lead role in ensuring that employees are returned to work as soon as possible. Monitor any and all restricted duty assignments. Review each incident to determine if corrective action is required. Ensure timely completion of OSHA log.
- Assist with training and development plans. Work with Managers to determine training needs. Compile data and analyze past and current year training requirements. Deliver training programs to support employee and management development.
- Assist with Unemployment Claims and represent the Company, when needed, at unemployment hearings.
- Assist with Bi-weekly processing of salaried and hourly payroll, participating in annual audits.
- Leave of Absence Administration; FMLA tracking and administration.
- Responsible for maintaining HR Management Systems.
- Plans and organizes company events, e.g. luncheons, picnics, recognition, etc.
- Maintains records and compiles reports concerning personnel related data such as hires, turnover, employee programs, performance appraisals, wage progression, and absenteeism rates.
- Assist with benefits administration: including: plan design, coordination and implementation of plan changes, open enrollment and COBRA. Update summary plan descriptions, plan documents, EAP Program and policies as law changes. Ensures timely completion of annually required 5500 forms.
- 401(k) Plan Administrator; enrollments, terminations, audits and completion of annually required 5500 forms.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field or combination of education and equivalent experience may be considered
- 7 to 10 years professional HR experience within a high-speed manufacturing background
- 5+ years as an HR Manager within a progressive manufacturing company
- Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in areas such as dispute resolution, performance management, employment law, employee relations, recruiting/ staffing, communications, training, compensation and benefits administration, and record keeping
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
