POSITION SUMMARY
:

Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR), the HRIS Data Compliance Analyst, is responsible for providing HRIS expertise and analytical reporting regarding regulatory and licensing requirements in accordance with agency, state and federal regulations. The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for management and oversight of the organization’s programs/company policies, associated with employee adherence to mandatory health and safety mandates (including applicable legal requirements).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains knowledge of and enforces compliance in accordance with all laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law and human resources policies and procedures.

  • Maintain employee records, payroll change of status (COS) liaison and HRIS
  • Contingent Worker Compliance (i.e., temporary and agency staff)
  • This individual will take the lead on all audit preparation and provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual reports and ad hoc reports.
  • Assists in the creation of HR SOP/best practices, compensation reviews, performance management
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with HR records retention and reporting related to I9, E-Verify, background checks, personnel/medical files, OSHA, EEOC and etc.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled HR due-diligent audits and leads HRIS process improvement initiatives.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for audits (i.e., EEO and IDHR matters and reporting.
  • Assists with DCFS, DHS, HFS, HRSA, JCAHO, Verify-Comply and etc.) regarding HRIS related matters, including clearances, audits, etc.
  • Completes core curriculum training(s) and all other required trainings, specific to this position.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience including payroll and HR systems required.
  • Working knowledge/experience of federal and state regulations (e.g., DOL, FLSA, HIPAA and etc.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of FLSA, wage and hourly laws, discrimination and government reporting obligations.
  • Ability to interpret, synthesis and analyze complex data.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current driver’s license
  • Current auto insurance
  • HRIS experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive and confidential information
