About This Role:
This position is responsible for all of the human resource and payroll activities for seven departments within the shared services unit. The incumbent serves as the initial contact for questions related to federal, state and university human resource policies and guidelines for directors, department heads/chairs, managers and supervisors in the departments. The incumbent is responsible for facilitating the recruitment process, processing or supervising the processing of all forms for personnel paperwork and for the time and leave process. The incumbent also serves as liaison with the College of Arts & Sciences Dean's office and Business Office, the Division of Human Capital Services, and other administrative departments/units on campus.

What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree.
This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
Requires one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the terminology, principles and procedures of human resource management.
Knowledge of the federal laws applicable to a comprehensive human resource program as well as state laws, rules and regulations applicable to human resource functions.
Knowledge of the K-State policies and procedures regarding human resource functions.
Ability to plan, analyzes details, develop and formulate recommendations for implementation of human resource processes and functions.
Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to work independently and make sound independent decisions.
Ability to work in a team setting.
Experience in human resources for higher education.
