The Human Resources Associate supports the Human Resources Manager in all aspects of HR including, but not limited to the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the following areas: employee relations, training, temporary employee management, recruitment, and interviewing.
Responsibilities:
- Answers routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on HR-related matters in line with written company policy
- Requisitions temporary personnel from staffing agencies as needed
- Verifies agency employees’ time and forwards information to agencies
- Greets new employees, provides them with personal protective equipment, and escorts them to assigned supervisor or department when on shift
- Updates ADP Workforce Now for hourly employee changes
- Maintains employment resumes, application forms, etc. in line with company policy
- Maintains employee personnel files and training records in line with company policies and government regulations
- Retains records in line with company record retention requirements
- Conducts weekly orientation with new Team Members
- Utilizes iCIMS.
- Maintains communication bulletin boards.
- Provides assistance to other functional groups as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
- Human Resources experience, strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret information, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and implement solutions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) is a must
- Willing and able to cover for Human Resources Manager
- Quick Learner
- Comfortable with unknown but willing to learn by utilizing reputable resources
