We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our Administration Department in our Livingston office. As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. NOTE: This position is a hybrid role and candidates must be able to work from the Livingston, NJ office.

Responsibilities:

  • As the HR representative for the office, support and report to the HR Manager on all HR areas, including but not limited to: recruitment, on-boarding, retention, off-boarding, benefits, employee relations, employment verification, mentoring program, sabbatical program, performance management, compensation planning, and administrative and HRIS documentation maintenance.
  • Communicate and support Firm policies and procedures.
  • Develop relationships with local colleges and universities for on-campus recruitment efforts.
  • Conduct HR interview with candidates for local roles.
  • Advocate for the staff.
  • Liaise between employee and Firm when dealing with employee relations issues.
  • Be confidential with all Firm and employment matters.
  • Maintain human resource information and employee files and documentation.
  • Coordinate and partner with the Learning Education and Development team to align staff with training opportunities that will support career development and progression.
  • Communicate with Payroll on any updates/changes for assigned group/location.
  • Collaborate with Administration on scheduling and staffing client engagements with an emphasis on managing productivity/staff utilization and employee development and progression.
  • Participate in department and staff meetings; recommend new approaches to continually support retention and employee engagement, and to improve efficiency of the department/location and services offered.
  • Additional special HR projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional HR certification is a plus.
  • 5 years of progressive HR experience preferably in the public accounting or professional services industry.
  • General knowledge of employment law (federal & state).
  • Demonstrates confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment with strong communication skills.
  • Pragmatic, with ability to devise right-sized solutions to problems, often with incomplete information.
  • Recruitment and interviewing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency.
  • Must be flexible with different personalities.
  • Detail–oriented, team player with the ability to multitask.
  • Knowledgeable of HRIS systems & MS Applications.
