POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
SUPERVISOR: Human Resources Director
Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will undertake a broad range of HR tasks such as HRIS maintenance, employee on-boarding, administering policies, maintaining all employee records, and be the main point of contact for employee’ queries on HR-related topics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties
Responsible for the onboarding and off-boarding processes of employees. Sends all paperwork such as offer letters, employment agreements, policies acknowledgements, general employee information fact sheet, termination letters, unemployment notices as required by law- Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of new hires, employee changes and terminations. Ensuring that all are appropriately approved and meet Company guidelines.
- Responsible for recruitment of Guest Service Specialist, Reservation Room Specialists, and other office job postings and maintenance within the HRIS; Job Target postings and budget
- Works in conjunction with Education and Recruiting Coordinator administering new hire paperwork and onboarding for the New Artist Program.
- Assist with the maintenance and updates of HR policies and procedures and handbook.
- Assist with the set up and continuing attention to Safety procedures at the salons.
- Responsible for submitting and tracking Workers Comp Claims.
- Assist with maintaining 401k and colonial databases and maintenance
- Assist with annual open enrollment
- Respond to employment verification requests.
- Maintain various trackers of information including new hires, terminations, and leaves.
- Maintain internal databases keeping employee records/digital files up to date and accurate.
- Maintain JUUT intranet including forms, docs, slides, sheets within Google
- Supporting other HR functions and projects as assigned.
- Ensure the overall operation of the Applicant Tracking system. Troubleshoot issues and ensure all postings are approved and up to date.
- Review new hire paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
- Pull routine HR related reports and distribute as needed.
- Track and assist with performance reviews administration of compensation updates and initiating merit/promotional letters.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR manager or other appropriate staff.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; strong Excel capabilities.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business
- 2-3 years’ experience in a human resources role
- Exposure to salon, cosmetics, or like retail business preferred.
- Experience with ADP TotalSource a plus
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
