SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for all Human Resources Administration Support and Payroll functions at Montauk Renewables. This is a full-time position.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and administer the HRIS SentricHR Portal. This includes the maintenance of all employees and their statuses.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the payroll processing vendor (SentricHR).
  • Responsible for payroll and benefit account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and the preparation of ad hoc deliverables relating to payroll as requested.
  • Re-verify all employee demographic information to ensure proper assumptions are being made by Finance in the generation of accruals, financial models, etc.
  • Ensure that the bi-weekly payroll documents are completed and submitted to the Controller by the end of business day after the end of the previous pay week to ensure proper time is given for the review process.
  • Update and maintain accurate payroll records including: salary changes, wage garnishments, benefit deductions, payroll taxing, PTO accruals, withholding retirement elections.
  • Review non-exempt time cards weekly and follow up on time card discrepancies.
  • Work closely with HR Manager to resolve payroll and time & attendance issues.
  • Support Finance & HR Manager in producing and creating reports from Sentric as required.
  • Respond to employees’ and managers’ payroll related questions and inquires in a manner that supports the organization’s culture of open communications, promptness, and drive for excellence in customer service.
  • Responsible for supporting all quarterly and year-end tasks.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely distribution of W2 forms.
  • Prepare and update employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating.
  • Support HR Manager in explaining Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees.
  • Talent Acquisition/Recruiting
  • Ensure new hire paperwork is completed and processed.
  • Support HR Manager in addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations.
  • Support HR Manager in processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval.
  • Assist HR Manager with Benefit Administration and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
