Human Resources Manager - Full Time

Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Reports to: Executive Director

Status: exempt

SUMMARY

Provides community relations to those entering the building and calling in. Maintains professionalism, following company policy and procedure, including handling media. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

I. Manage all functions of Human Resources Department

II. Assist Executive Director as needed

III. Evaluate and manage staffing needs for facility

IV. Oversee Applicant Tracking System usage

V. Oversee Hiring Process for facility

VI. Review company policies and procedures during orientations

VII. Manage employee evaluation process for facility

VIII. Oversee workers compensation program

IX. Lead employee incentive programs for facility

X. Clerical duties, filing, copying and other duties as assigned.

XI. Assist in Workers’ Compensation Program

XII. Manage employee benefits programs for facility

XIII. Attend morning meetings

XIV. Attend monthly meetings

XV. Create PBJ reports

XVI. Manage all unemployment claims

XVII. Advise resolutions of employee related issues

XVIII. Oversee enforcement of employee handbook

XIX. Manage payroll system

XX. Complies with privacy required by The Plaza Health & Rehab and state regulatory agencies

XXI. Process Bi-weekly payroll

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma required. Bachelors degree preferred and human resources experience required. Basic typing skills along with a working knowledge of personal computing and word processing and spreadsheet software are required, preferably in Microsoft Windows environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in English and understand and follow written and oral instructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The environment is characteristic of a facility in which healthcare is provided to the frail elderly. The noise level is usually moderate. May be required to travel for group settings.
