We're Lick Honest Ice Creams and have been producing the finest, locally sourced, seasonally inspired ice creams in Austin since 2011! We currently have one shop in San Antonio at the Historic Pearl Brewery, one at Hemisfair, and will be opening our third San Antonio location at The Pearl. We work hard and get rave reviews from media around the country. We are rapidly expanding and looking for outgoing, happy, responsible, and positive individuals who love ice cream as much as we do to join our ice cream shop family!

Position Summary

The role of the Scooper is to ensure that every customer is greeted and served in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. This includes greeting customers, product knowledge, scooping ice cream, processing orders, and maintaining the show quality of the shop. Duties & Expectations

• Maintain highest standards of cleanliness and order in storefront and kitchen
• Ensure opening and closing procedures are being completed consistently and to the expected standards
• Accurately processing all transactions, cash, credit cards, and gift cards
• Prepare and serve all offered menu items
• Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Lick Honest Ice Creams and what makes our ice cream unique, and share this knowledge with customers
• Be able to answer all questions, including where we source our ingredients and how we craft our ice creams
• Identify any customer issues/complaints and take necessary steps to correct them
• Perform all other related duties as requested
• Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the company Policies & Procedures manual

Qualifications

• 1+ years Food Service or hospitality experience preferred
• 1+ years Customer Service experience preferred
• Ice cream experience is a plus!
• Reliable and dependable transportation
• Food Handlers Certificate required (within 30 days of hire)
• Evening and weekend availability

Essential Functions

• Handle public inquiries in a timely and friendly manner
• Maintain a flexible schedule based on shop needs
• Able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members (face-to face or by telephone)
• Able to read and comprehend written material
• Able to stand for shifts lasting up to, but not limited to, 8 hours of time on concrete flooring
• Perform tasks which involve repetitive motion including, but not limited to the use of arms, hands, wrists, back
• Able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
• Lift up to 50# of product

Compensation: $10-13+/hr with tips
