Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking a solution-oriented candidate who excels at customer service with a proven success as a Senior Imaging Specialist to support our Healthcare Technology service team. Position provides the highest level of technical expertise and knowledge to assist and train others to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and calibrate the full range of diagnostic imaging and/or therapeutic radiation equipment, devices, system, and instruments. Acts as a subject matter expert providing technical knowledge, support, and resource to Imaging Service Technicians. Will have direct and indirect client interaction; engage with problem solving and drive new business and service delivery strategies within their expertise.

The skills for this role will possess:

  • experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical imaging devices including x-ray, Cath Lab and CT
  • experience in a hospital or healthcare setting;
  • ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices;
  • excellent communication, customer service and time management skills;
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule as required.


Ensuring diagnostic imaging medical equipment is serviced and maintained on schedule and within compliance standards is only part of the key attributes of role. Ideal candidates will have outstanding customer service and communications skills along with a commitment to be the very best in delivering high quality repairs and preventative maintenance in the interest of improving overall reliability.

  • Project management experience
  • Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specific training and or experience in MRI, CT, PETCT and Nuclear Medicine, SPECT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and Mammography systems.
  • Multi-modality experience and training a plus
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule
  • Competency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products. Under minimal supervision, will inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate all types of medical imaging systems and related equipment in a variety of locations within a geography. On a regular basis, they will interact with clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and their related solutions. This role represents the highest level of technical expertise and is expected to possess the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex diagnostic devices, instrumentation, and systems and complete detailed documentation. Additionally, will possess the knowledge and experience to contribute to ongoing initiatives such as the improvement and development of policy and procedures; technical guidance in the selection and installation of imaging equipment and systems and contribute to staff development and mentorship as our team continues to grow and improve.
  • This position will oversee a team of 11 imaging engineers across a 6 hospital system and multiple offsite locations.
  • The position will not have any direct reports but will be expected to meet regularly with the Imaging team.
  • Responsibilities will include budgeting support to the 6 system directors for ISE training and high end imaging parts.
  • Assistance in controlling imaging PO spend and managing major downtime events will be expected.
    • Physicist reports requirements will need to be understood and delivered as needed.
  • The candidate needs to have strong communication skills, verbal and email.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
Basic Functional Experience - 10 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training. Significant factory-level training of imaging equipment contributing to the effectiveness of the organization. Preferred CRES nationally
