IMMEDIATE OPENING for Part-Time Caregiver

Hourly Position working in Retirement Community (La Grange, IL)

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Position Description

· Independence-4-Seniors Home Care is seeking a PART TIME caregiver to work at a retirement community in La Grange.

· The caregiver will work a specific schedule assisting residents in the independent living, assisted living, and memory care areas of the community.

· Schedule may include weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

· Follow the resident’s individual care plan in providing support that includes meal delivery, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, escorting to activities, wellness checks, light housekeeping, exercise/walks.

· Charting services performed, observations, and notes for each resident schedule using iPad technology

Qualifications

· CNA certification preferred

· Minimum of 1 year of experience caring for older adults in a private home or retirement community

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Able to pass criminal background and reference checks

· Proficient in reading and writing the English language

· Experience caring for persons with Alzheimer’s and related dementia is preferred

COVID-19 Considerations

· All necessary PPE is provided

· All caregivers must follow retirement community safety protocols

· COVID screening test performed according to community’s current policy

Job Type: Part-time
