Job description

We are a small import company with a focus on logistics seeking a candidate for our Import Coordinator position. Must have experience in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office applications. Must have acute attention to detail, good customer service skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast paced environment. Logistics, international trade or plywood background helpful.

Roles of Import Coordinator:

• Ensure proper and correct documentations are received from our supplier and sent to our customs broker
• Communicate any delays or short shipments from our supplier or freight carrier
• Resolve clearance issues to ensure full release is received of our product in a timely manner
• Manage/update demurrage and detention of our containers with port terminals correctly and schedule is adhered to by contracted warehouse
• This position will work closely with our Inventory/Accounting/Sales group internally
• Will need to work with our customs broker on a regular basis
• May require phone conversation with US Customs Officer to review our cargo
• The position will require cross training
• Salary based on experience and skill set
• Monthly health allowance and company insurance available for purchase

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
