Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting for an Industrial Bookkeeper for our client in Ingleside, TX. The Industrial Accountant will be expected to perform a range of professional accounting, technical review, and general ledger functions, including journal entries, payroll, cash management, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Essential Functions for the Industrial Bookkeeper are:

Reviewing and reconciling accounting transactions, and other financial activities

Reviewing accounting records for accuracy, correcting errors, and resolves accounting issues within the scope of authority

Preparing journal entries

Performs payroll duties such as processing time sheets, proofing, processing, and transmitting payroll funds

Maintaining inventory of fixed assets

Assisting the with budget management, financial reporting, insurance, internal controls, and annual audit

Preparing cost analysis reports for special projects

Complying with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

Supporting the relationship between the company and the public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with clients, visitors, and company staff

Maintaining absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and company information

Performing related duties as assigned or required

To be successful in this role, the Industrial Bookkeeper must have:

Bachelor’s Degree, or above

CPA, or CPA eligible, is a plus

More than 5 years of experience in financial work in manufacturing or similar industries

Comprehensive grasp of local and state laws, regulations, and policies, with the ability to master the company’s local financial policies and procedures

Strong ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem

Ability to effectively analyze transactional level detail and articulate the key findings to management

Ability to multi-task and drive actions to completion under strict deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
