Industrial Mechanic

We are currently in search of a Industrial Mechanic to join our Maintenance department of the Marquardt Group in our location Cazenovia (USA).

The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding high tech production machine components and related equipment.

This position is Weekend Shift
Thursday - Friday 6am- 2:30pm

Saturday - Sunday 6am - 6pm


Sign-on Bonus*: $3000 ($300 paid after 80 hours worked, $850 paid after 60 days and good standing, $850 paid after 90 days and good standing and $1000 paid after 120 days and good standing)

Industrial Mechanic Essential Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair complex machine components and parts
  • Diagnose complex problems, determine corrective action required, and take corrective action to ensure problem does not recur
  • Perform complex troubleshooting of electrical and electronic problems
  • Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures and equipment to result in more efficient operations
  • Assist in the scheduling of maintenance and repair work to ensure work is completed in a timely manner


Industrial Mechanic Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 7+ years related experience
  • Four year state certificate apprentice program and journeyman license
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action to solve them to prevent recurrence
  • Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to interact effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and production personnel
  • Ability to work with electrical connections, pneumatic cylinders, and understand PLC controlled equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, maintenance instructions, and detailed procedure manuals
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 lbs
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing in excess of 100 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk on a regular basis and occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Ability to use close vision, color vision, and depth perception for extended periods
