SUMMARY: According to established policies and procedures, and under the direction of the Director of Information Security, this position is responsible for the Information Security Senior Engineer will assist in the design, deployment, and operationalization of information security and cyber security technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Continually monitor infrastructure and systems for intrusions or irregular behavior
2. Respond to security incidents and events to protect Firm IT assets, including infrastructure, client data, regulated data and the Firm’s reputation and assist with return to normal operation

3. Review digital evidence and provide findings to the appropriate stakeholders
4. Develop plans and procedures for dealing with data breaches and attacks
5. Identify tools/mechanisms for building cloud security posture
6. Develop automation framework for public cloud security service configuration
7. Automate processes to enable agility while maintaining security controls
8. Build audit, security compliance layer in public cloud
9. Build infrastructure and application monitoring to detect or prevent incidents
10. Propose cloud-related optimizations and best practices to improve reliability, performance and cost
11. Work effectively across security, IT, and other functions within the Firm to affect change and enhance security strategies and posture
12. Proactively explore emerging technologies and their potential impact on security teams, from the perspective of securing and protecting those technologies
13. Implement best practices, policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures
14. Provide technical documentation to assist with efficient planning and execution
15. Participate in support of production systems as necessary
16. Cross-train and mentor teammates

17. Manage internal and external relationships effectively
18. Establish credibility as a trusted advisor to stakeholders working closely with cross-functional teams.
19. Be a champion for security by modeling behaviors consistent with cybersecurity best practices
20. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security,
Information Systems, or equivalent field, or equivalent experience required

2. 3+ years of experience in cyber security operations
3. 3+ years of experience in cloud-based infrastructure (Azure preferred)
4. Well versed in cloud security best practices
5. Well versed in public cloud security tools/services
6. Well versed in building security posture in public cloud
7. Well versed in identifying public cloud security risks
8. Well versed in DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP and networking
9. Ability to manage long term, project/milestone based work with multiple teams
10. Ability to: a. Handle sensitive and confidential matters, situations, and data b. Work independently and prioritize multiple tasks c. Adapt quickly to change d. Remain calm under high pressure/difficult situations

11. Certification highly desired: CISSP, CEH, CISM
