IT MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The IT Manger will plan, establish, and manage computer information systems, wired and wireless networks, telephones, life safety, and other technology systems and applications in the organization.
- The IT Manager will also oversee the day-to-day workflow of the department, maintain documentation of incidents, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolution.
- The IT Manager will provide prompt response to staff and residents with technology related issues, establish and implement project communication plans, provide status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
- The IT Manager will maintain computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.
- The IT Manager will maintain, troubleshoot and resolve computer and peripheral equipment.
- The IT Manager will determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- The IT Manager installs equipment, machines, wiring or programs to meet specifications.
- The IT Manager Conducts periodic tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- The IT Manager assists with generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs.
- The IT Manager tests and documents disaster recovery plans and results.
Ideal candidate will have proven experience with delivering excellent customer service in person, on the phone and through electronic communication.
Education required:
Bachelors degree preferred, equivalent experience or certifications required.
Experience required:
4 years of professional technical training or information technology experience required.
Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required:
- Organized with attention to detail. Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
- Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices. Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
- Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
- Experience in a Citrix environment.
- Minimum of 4 years supporting Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, Windows Server, Virtualization, Networking LAN and WLAN.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to read, speak and write in English.
- Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operations of telecommunication systems.
- Willingness to take on other responsibilities as required.
