EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Pay Grade: O Under broad supervision, the Information & Technology Program Manager manages multiple Georgia Gateway projects of a complex nature. Responsible for assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing schedules, and coordinating all necessary resources to ensure timely completion of projects.Role and Responsibilities: Analyzes customer's needs and determines the optimum solution.Defines and prioritizes project or assignment requirements and outcomes.Communicates and monitors project work plans and schedules to Leadership and all applicable parties.Follows established program criteria and procedures for project activities, ensuring that priorities, objectives, and activities are consistent with the agency and entity goals. Provides leadership in resolving problems and to ensure the overall success and development of processes and the application.Follows widely recognized industry standards for the formulation and completion of work in project management.Ensures operational and customer assistance is available when required to address information system related problems.Maintain consistent support of agency stakeholders to implement technology solution in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of all enhancements and communication them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators.Develop and manage a detailed and comprehensive project plan to monitor and track progress and measure project performance.Keeps up to date on technology trends by participating in conferences, conferring with vendors, and reading trade publications.Analyze various Georgia Gateway Units to ensure effectiveness.Serves as a link between agency policy representatives, the Georgia Gateway unit, and associated vendor(s) by providing information and guidance on services.Directs subordinate supervisors and staff.Provides expert assistance to customers in planning their technical needs as it relates to Georgia Gateway.Supervises, monitor, and develops operational tasks and schedules.Perform ongoing risk and issues management to minimize project risks.Report and escalate issues/risks to leadership.Develops time, resources, and project plans.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, public administration, management information systems or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three (3) years of related experience, Two years of which include management/supervisory experience.Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following skills/experience: Knowledge of agency (DHS) standards, policies and procedures, and security and control methods and systems. Background in State government a plus.Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, Visio.Proficient use of computerized business applications such as: SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, calendar function, etc. Ability to document and monitor processes. Experience training and leading teams.Well-organized; able to work under pressure, and effectively prioritize in a demanding environment.
