Inspector/Inspection 3rd Shift

About this opportunity
This is an entry-level position requiring little to no experience. Our Inspectors (also known as slitter or rewinder operator) are responsible for ensuring the finished product meets customer specifications.

Our plant is climate controlled - heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. Our third shift is 10pm to 6am; Sunday night through Friday morning.

What you will do

• Work safely at all times
• Set-up machine to specifications outlined on the work order
• Assure machine is fed in an efficient manner
• Monitor the inspection run and remove defective product
• Complete required documentation
• Keep machine and operating area clean daily
• Ensure materials are available for next order & next shift

What you have to offer

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent attention to detail
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
• Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner at all times
• Ability to recognize and match colors
• Good communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to plan and perform multiple tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to comply with all ergonomic requirements of the job including lifting, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and good math skills
• Initiates and supports process and continuous improvement initiatives
