Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Working from your home office in Idaho, the State Testing Coordinator will manage and organize the administration of all state-required testing. This position’s duties will extend beyond the test coordination and will also include working with teachers to better analyze data and provide specific training. This is a 10-month, part-time position, with some weeks requiring more hours than others. The State Testing Coordinator will also be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:
- Work with the School Leader on soliciting and tabulating information regarding testing materials and needs for the school for the purpose of assisting the preparation of the annual testing budget process;
- Manage and organize all aspects of standardized testing, including state testing, SAT testing, among others;
- Work collaboratively with a team in the planning, organization, and execution of state testing for the school;
- Receive, inventory, organize, and disseminate state-mandated tests & technology; retrieve and organize test materials for return to state testing agencies;
- Prepare and arrange shipment or pickup and retrieval of testing materials to and from test sites;
- Order, organize, store, and inventory school wide assessment materials, including technology, as directed;
- Communicate often with staff, parents, and students to coordinate testing schedules and announcements;
- Create a communication plan that includes timely notifications and organizes relevant information to be shared with staff and parents;
- Assist in notifying parents of upcoming tests, contacting students who must take various types of tests, and work with parents and students for make-up testing;
- Organize standardized testing, focusing on finding and booking venues, teacher and student accommodations, managing schedule for the testing, making rosters of students testing for teachers’ information, etc.;
- Track and address participation issues including parental refusal requests;
- Create a plan to work with site leads and facilitate their communication with proctors and parents including regular meetings and communications;
- Coordinate with Pearson Virtual Schools to order needed technology, make distribution plan for sites, and monitor and adjust as needed;
- Attend Pearson Virtual Schools and state-mandated state testing meetings;
- Provide school-wide as well as role-specific training covering all aspects of state testing;
- Assist with preparation and dissemination of reports to assist leadership and staff in the interpretation of performance data and school/student characteristics;
- Assist with the preparation of test data, School Report Card or other school data; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- This is a 10-month Part-time position reporting to the Manager of Student Accountability and the School Leader
- Valid Idaho Teaching Certification
- Idaho Residency Required
- Ability to travel to the Boise office as needed
- Strong technology skills (especially with Google Suite, Microsoft OS, and MS Office programs)
- Ability to analyze, develop, implement, and track intervention plans and strategies
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast-paced environment and have a high degree of flexibility
- Team player track record and excellent attention to detail & organizational skills
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
- Private workspace free from distraction, high-speed internet, and if applicable, appropriate childcare arrangements for any dependent children that may be in the home during scheduled work hours
