Job description

Medi Home Care, a division of Medical Services of America Inc., currently seeks a full-time Intake Coordinator for our Home Medical Equipment (HME) location in Okaloosa, Walton and Santa Rosa Counties, FL.

This person will be responsible for:

  • Answers, screens and directs telephone calls in a polite and professional manner.
  • Receives orders from referral sources and maintains log of referrals.
  • Communicates new referrals/reoccurring deliveries to Logistics Manager for scheduling customer set up.
  • Coordinates all customer information and establishes customer records while ensuring all information and records are current and complete.
  • Monitors and records customer, physician and referral source communications. Notifies appropriate personnel of a particular service or response.
  • Ensures all qualifying documentation is received prior to delivery.
  • Completes insurance verifications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Works suspended revenue on a daily basis and assists with inventory as requested.
  • Processes over-the-counter cash transactions and performs end-of-the-day cash account balancing.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of home care products and services offered by the company and all applicable insurance guidelines regarding eligibility for coverage and reimbursement.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Previous medical office or HME industry experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and auto-liability insurance required.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
