The Intake Worker is responsible for providing screening and intervention services to youth in a secure Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) setting.
Pre-requisite Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Valid Florida Drivers' License
• Ability to fully participate in CPR/First Aid and Crisis Intervention Training and apply techniques in worksite.

Preferred Attributes:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree- higher compensation rate applies for these degrees.
• One (1) year of experience working in a child caring, law enforcement, human services, or other relevant setting

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Administers JAC Intervention Assessments
• Assists Detention Screeners with phone contacts to parents, law enforcement, and victims.
• Screens incoming calls and monitors doors and cameras.
• Observes youth for changes in behavior and communicates regularly with clients, co-workers/shift supervisors as appropriate
• Processes JAC non-arrest cases as assigned
• Completes their individual JAC Daily Log at the end of each shift
• Other duties as assigned

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
