Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking an experienced Editor/Writer for producing classified and unclassified historical publications and articles based on manuscripts provided by the Center for Cryptologic History (CCH) and as directed by the Chief, CCH Publications Team. These documents include: Cryptologic history monographs, Cryptologic history brochures, Cryptologic Quarterly, and other publication products as required. The Editor/Writer will also provide publication support tasks to include: counting publication copies, maintaining metrics, mailing publications, and coordinating publication shipments and distribution events.

Responsibilities

  • Produce classified and unclassified historical publications from transcripts
  • Generate publications and articles based on manuscripts
  • Convert Microsoft Word formatted manuscripts to Adobe InDesign
  • Conduct editorial process utilizing English language rules and style
  • Edit, design, and format classified and unclassified monographs, brochures, journals, calendars, symposium handouts, and other printed material
  • Perform publication support tasks to include: counting copies, maintaining metrics, mailing publications, and coordinating shipments and distribution events.

Requirements

  • Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information Clearance
  • Full Scope Polygraph
  • 3 years of Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, scanning technology, desktop publishing principles
  • 3 years of writing & editing documents
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, style, and organization principles
  • 3 years of experience with organization & terminology of U.S. Intelligence Community
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in English or directly related field

Note: In lieu of the Bachelor’s Degree, an additional four (4) years of directly related experience for a total of seven (7) years may be substituted.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
