Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing inspections on steamship line containers to and chassis to IICL, CSC and FMCSA industry standards and guidelines.

This position will be responsible to:
Knowledge of Container and Chassis inspection criteria IICL and CIC and FMCSA guidelines industry standards.

Perform visual inspection of containers and chassis noting all damages.

Ability to use portable handheld device when inspecting all equipment.

Inspection grading of all arriving containers at the inbound gate process and noting.

Ability to verify all sale, one way and off-hire containers during inbound gate process.

Assign all equipment to proper customer account.

Verify equipment types by size and status: Standards, High Cube, Open Top, Flat Rack, Etc.

Ability to differentiate between wear and tear repairs and third-party damages.

Workspace must be always kept clean.

Follow instructions as directed by depot manager.

Other Duties as assigned.

Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma required.

Knowledge and experience Depot Systems (DS5) with CEDEX codes.

Ability to lift 50lbs

Ability to climb stairs

Ability to work in changing weather conditions

Computer Literate

Strong Work Ethic and customer service skills

Attention to detail
