Samaritan’s Purse is seeking an International Regional Manager, East Africa to serve with Operation Christmas Child (OCC). You could be part of equipping local churches and working with year-round international volunteers in the region for the advancement of the Gospel! As Regional Manager, you will be part of sharing the Gospel through evangelism, discipleship and multiplication to children throughout the East Africa region. A day in the life of an OCC International Regional Manager, East Africa

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other and our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of International Regional Manager, East Africa, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Provide field leadership, coaching, training and accountability to the development of up to 100 volunteer leadership teams responsible for carrying out the OCC ministry in secondary and remote locations within each designated country.
• Attend monthly Global Update Meeting, Bi-Weekly Meetings, Quarterly Update Meeting, Quarterly Logistics Meeting and all other assigned team meetings, including bi-annual Global Coordination Meetings and annual Executive Presentation.
• Provide on-time, thorough, pro-active reporting: weekly, monthly, trip reports and proper time management to attention to specific details in all communication to supervisor with excellence.
• Provide field leadership, coaching, training, and accountability to the successful development of Ministry Partner networks and training to ensure effective Gospel presentations at every shoebox gift distribution and to the development of prayer networks throughout the region.
• Provide field leadership, oversight, and accountability for all in-country financial stewardship entrusted from IHQ and for the region’s Unreached People Group initiative.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• An active and growing faith in Jesus Christ
• Fluent language skills in English are required. This includes Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Working knowledge of general bookkeeping processes and principles.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Proven ability to train, coach and develop staff and/or volunteers
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Effective time management skills
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Type: Full-time

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required); Intermediate to fluent language skills in French, Swahili, or local dialects preferred.

Travel Expectations: 80-110 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
