We are currently seeking a motivated Inventory Control/Cycle Counter for our high-volume manufacturing campus located in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory reporting and reconciliation for the improvement of our material control.

The position shift time is from 7 AM - 3:30 PM

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Daily cycle counting as part of a core team of Inventory Control
  • Work with material handlers, operators, and line leaders on the production floor
  • Monitor and ensure that material loading into PLEX ERP work centers is correct
  • Research and communicate discrepancies to upper managements; work with leadership to identify solutions
  • Coordinate and audit FIFO in each plant, review material handlers and receiving
  • Audit docks and receiving, audit container labels versus actual production reporting, verify container quantities,
  • conduct physical inventories and utilize Hi-Lo to move material
  • Work with Line Leaders and Supervisors to route cause shrink items
  • Additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years' experience with inventory control using PLEX or similar ERP system
  • Associate degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Hi-Lo experience and safe operating record
  • Material process background required, understanding of manufacturing processes preferred
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train, teach, and coach individuals in a plant environment
  • Computer skills and mathematical aptitude required for data tracking
  • Ability to work within in a structured team environment and cross functionally

LICENSURE: Hi-Lo License

SAFETY: Safety glasses are required – Additional Other safety equipment as required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment and Shipping Dock
  • Exposure to weather when unloading trucks and transporting material outdoors and between plants

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment and shipping.
  • Job requires very frequent visual effort and concentration, and extensive driving of a Hi-Lo.
  • The ability to lift 40 pounds is required.
  • The work requires regular sitting, standing, moving about, and involves a variety of physical activities.

Pay: $19.06 - $19.91 per hour
