Job description
We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist who will be the interface between our operations team and our 3rd party logistics partner. The specialist reconciles and maintains the accuracy of the inventory within our ERP system for finished goods (energy drink) and point of sales (POS) items on a national level. We require a self-starter who is willing to learn as well as bring in ideas to improve processes and outcomes.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
INVENTORY CONTROL
Research and resolve discrepancies on orders, inventory or cycle counts
Compile inventory reports and complete weekly, month end and year end reconciliation processes
Key contact for inventory control topics between the US, our European HQ and logistics partner
Monitor beverage product rotation (FEFO) and resolve issues
Manage claim process for warehouse damages
Investigate and resolve inventory control issues through root cause analysis and provide recommendations to improve warehouse inventory control
SPARE PARTS PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Manage spare parts program for cold equipment repair
Maintain inventory levels with parts providers
Order and manage distribution of parts to repair providers
Communicate with the field and customers on order status
SYSTEMS SUPPORT
Ensure all EDI transactions are properly processed daily and trouble shoot within the relevant systems
Provide ongoing reconciliation between SAP and Logistics Partner’s system
Troubleshoot inventory related system issues with relevant stakeholders
OPERATIONS SUPPORT
Perform statistical and ad hoc reporting and analysis
Provide support for operations projects and to the business as needed
Ensure Inventory Control business process documentation are up to date and regularly reviewed
You have 1-2 years’ experience in a fast paced supply chain operations environment.
Ideally, you have hands on experience with a robust ERP system (bonus points for SAP).
You’re an expert problem solver, detail oriented with a bias for action.
Multi-tasking is one of your strengths and you always hit your deadlines and deliverables.
You are a great communicator (both written and verbal) and like to work with people.
You have highly proficient analytical skills and good Microsoft Excel skills.
Nothing makes you happier than finding and implementing solutions to improve processes.
