Summary

The Inventory Specialist facilitates regional and national inventory management, advises on inventory requirements and any relevant FDA regulations, trains and supports the field sales team on deliveries, processes, etc. The Specialist has a proven track record in a specialized inventory management environment with knowledge of medical devices and/or is willing to learn and become the resident subject matter expert (SME) for the Customer Operations Department (COD) within the first 60 days on the job.

The Inventory Specialist is a part of the COD team in the United States and reports directly to the Director of the Customer Operations Department.

Essential Functions

• Oversee inventory, monitor stock level and facilitate re-orders as needed
• Ensure accurate stock levels of all Kerecis inventories in the nation
• Evaluate the selection and shipping process and work to improve efficiency
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and update inventory as needed
• Serve as the subject matter expert, and be on call, for inquiries from the field sales team
• Partner and collaborate with the field sales team and BDMs (Business Development Mangers)
• Train and support BDMs with inventory strategies; clearly articulate Kerecis inventory requirements to the field sales team and customers
• Act as a liaison between the corporate office and the field sales team; communicate where additional support is needed and recommend process improvements
• Support customer inquiries and requests

Skills and Experience

• Either a Bachelors degree or higher
• 2+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced and semi-independent environment
• Strong attention to detail skills
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally to internal and external customers, BDMs, vendors, etc.
