Job description
The Closing Coordinator (CC) will assist Trinity Investors in managing the workflow of its new investments and portfolio of 100+ private investments. The CC will track investment closing deliverables and due dates from each department to keep the investment closing process moving in an orderly and timely manner. The CC will work with the firm's leadership to determine the appropriate project software to assist with the investment close process. The CC will provide regulatory support, serving as liaison for accounting firm(s) engaged to audit our private fund investment Limited Liability Companies (LLC's) and operating company investment LLC's.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as closing coordinator overseeing investment closing process for all new investment offerings
- Ensure that adequate resources are assigned to achieve workflow objectives in planned timeframes
- Create and maintain connections with key stakeholders and teams to implement strategic initiatives that optimize knowledge sharing platforms and overall interactions with clients
- Coordinate timely responses to items on Provided by Client (PBC) lists requested by audit firms
- Serve as liaison for valuation firms
- Coordinate independent audits of private funds and operating company investments
- Ensure that the valuation firms receive answers to information requests, tracks the valuation firm's completion timeline, and reviews valuation results to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Assemble necessary people resources, technology, and processes needed to address compliance requirements for the firm
- In conjunction with the Compliance Department, ensure that compliance policies and procedures are fully adhered to
- Work with key stakeholders on risk identification, issue management, escalation, and change management
- Identify and execute appropriate communication methods to provide work flow status updates to the appropriate stakeholders and teams
- Consistently and accurately review and maintain documentation to identify, evaluate, scope, plan, monitor, and follow-up on active projects
Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree preferred
- Minimum one year previous project coordinating experience; previous private equity, financial services, or compliance experience is a plus
- Ability to manage project timelines, resources, and escalate to management as required
- Excellent project management skills, including a proven track record of successful delivery of projects
- Familiarity with the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate their activities and meet project deadlines
- Ability to oversee efforts to meet project timelines and overcome project hurdles
- Ability to understand applicable compliance laws and regulations, analyze their effect on business practices, and work with key stakeholders, as needed, to clarify requirements and address related issues
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying sizes and complexity with minimal oversight
- Ability to properly coordinate, deliver projects on time, and oversee the full cycle of investments
- Software skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook software required; Juniper Square experience is a plus
- Must have the ability to self-direct work and exercise independent judgment to formulate and implement solutions
