The IRB Compliance Specialist exercises objective and independent judgement to ensure uniformity of review and compliance with IRB standard operating procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations while working collaboratively with the IRB/HRPP Manager and IRB Chair to identify gaps, and develop/update policies and procedures. The Sr IRB Coordinator is responsible for managing the relationships between BayCare IRB and external IRBs, as well as external sites for multi-site research projects for which BayCare is the IRB of record. Coordinates the workflow for execution of IRB authorization agreements (IAAs) and collecting information to populate Institution Profiles in related systems. The Sr IRB Coordinator performs prereviews, redlines informed consent documents, and other related documents for completeness, accuracy and consistency. Actively participates in training, quality assurance and other special projects as assigned. Required education and experience includes Bachelor?s and a minimum of two years of experience in IRB/HRPP, Clinical Research, or other health care compliance or quality assurance
