In Patient Services, we have embarked on a journey to Reimagine Patient Services, to become the trusted resource for our customers, realizing an innovative Engagement Center and to make Biogen the services leader by enabling exceptional customer experiences. To aid this journey, we are seeking an individual to join the Patient Services IT organization that brings passion and experience in customer service leveraging advanced technologies.
About this role
The IT Partner is an experienced, motivated individual who will serve as a strategic IT liaison to assigned functions in the Patient Services department. The focus will be on advancing our business capabilities and evolving our future state roadmap to enable business strategy and through innovative and meaningful use of emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will bring a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems and apply to drive strategically aligned business outcomes. The IT Partner will build strong partnerships and deliver strategic and meaningful IT solutions.
What you’ll do
Key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver future state business capabilities by collaborating across stakeholders and IT
- Contribute to our Reimagine Patient Services initiative by evolving the Patient Services IT Roadmap.
- Utilize broad business and IT knowledge to proactively research strategic technological solutions
- Track relevant emerging technologies to determine their maturity and applicability to Patient Services
- Advise on business value and potential strategy accelerators of emerging technology
- Leverage data to drive insights and recommendations for future state
- Develop business cases and define projects that will deliver on the future roadmap
- Take ownership for appropriate stakeholder management of assigned Patient Services functions
- Lead through influence and partnership at all levels of the organization. Establish and maintain strong relationships to navigate within a matrixed organization
- Serve as a primary contact for Patient Service’s related opportunities enabled through technology
- Be a trusted proxy in communicating the technology strategy for IT applications and IT operations to the PS stakeholders
- Coordination and Portfolio Management of small to large scale IT initiatives and priorities across the patient services business area
- Lead and drive successful execution on the defined PS IT roadmap through a portfolio of planned projects by collaborating with various shared services and IT teams including Architecture and Solution Delivery. Manage business analysts and accountable for sprint delivery that meets business requirements/expectations.
- Provide oversight (including financial budgets, vendor resources) to ensure delivery of agreed upon portfolio of projects
- Serve as escalation and coordination point of contact for major issues impacting Patient Services critical business operations
Who you are
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, understanding the business environment and industry trends, with the ability to articulate future state business capabilities and the IT solutions that will advance the business. The IT Partner will understand the business’ key processes around patient, HCP, pharmacy and payer relationship management, financial and reimbursement processes, as well as strategic data analysis. The individual in this role must be focused on business outcomes and will be accountable for project success from initial project business case justification through deployment and operationalization.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience as an IT partner delivering business impact through innovation and the implementation of technology
- Experiences leading business critical GXP solutions, integration solutions (data, applications, and service providers), data and analytics technology solutions are important to the role
- Experience with Customer Service business processes, CRM (Salesforce), Call Center (Five9), and related technologies is a plus.
- Experience with the SDLC, Agile and PMI Processes
- Demonstrable Business Analyst experience
- Project management and leadership experience
- Vendor management experience
- 10+ years IT/Industry Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / equivalent experience
- MBA preferred
- Life sciences industry experience is a plus
