Job description

The client is seeking a candidate who will analyze and visualize data to support priority research projects.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with agency staff and end users to define visualization requirements, query and analyze data, develop and test visualizations, and maintain documentation.

The ideal candidate will also provide expert technical assistance to agency staff on the use of Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop to develop visualizations.

Responsibilities include:

• Work collaboratively with end users and technical staff to define requirements, develop appropriate solutions, and create and maintain documentation for dashboards and visualizations

• Understand data structures, develop SQL queries, and rapidly transform raw data into actionable information for visualization development to include supporting the data curation process for agency users

• Champion dashboard quality, consistency, reliability, and public accessibility by applying best practices of visualization design and development

• Collaborate with technical staff to understand and troubleshoot platform issues and develop appropriate solutions

• Spread awareness, provide support, and offer assistance to Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop users throughout the agency

• Contribute to strategic planning meetings and provide guidance on system options and risks

• Abide by all Department of Education policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations regarding the use, storage, and disposition of restricted-use data.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary, Part-time

Pay: $43.00 - $48.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
