TRICOR is in growth mode and looking to add an IT Support Technician. The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing support and assistance to internal staff by phone, email, remotely and/or in person relating to business applications and operating systems. The IT Support Technician team is responsible for traveling on-site to our offices to set up new hires' information technology needs.

(NOTE: Candidates for this role must have at least 1+ years of professional IT working experience AND/OR a 2 or 4-year degree in an information technology-related field. Candidates for this role ideally will be able to work out of one of our following TRICOR WI office locations: Baraboo, Lancaster, Madison, Mauston, Onalaska, Platteville, Portage, Sparta, Stevens Point, Stoughton, Sun Prairie, Tomah, WI Rapids, or WI Dells. In this IT Support Technician role, the expectations are as follows:

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide troubleshooting support to staff at multiple locations on network, VoIP, business applications, desktops/laptops, printers, scanners, copiers, etc.
• Identify and resolve moderately complex and non-standard problems by applying documented procedures or researching the issue.
• Documenting support issues/resolutions in ticket management system.
• Install, support and maintain PC applications used by business.
• Explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain inventory of equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

• 
  Associate’s Degree in IT computer science or a related field of study
• General awareness of WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, switches, and firewalls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products
• Ability to utilize computer programs and other technology tools provided by TRICOR Insurance
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers including communicating technical information to a non-technical audience in a clear and coherent manner
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently with multiple priorities and changing deadlines
• Ability to work independently and willing to assist others when needed
• Regular and predictable attendance and ability to work varied hours including overtime if required
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Hold a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
• One plus years of related experience
