Job description
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Provide end user support related, but not limited, to computer software systems, cloud based systems, hardware, and computer peripherals, including iOS equipment.
- Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems.
- May assist Network Engineer and System Administrator in maintaining network and servers.
- Maintain an accurate inventory and accounting of all IT and Telecom related assets.
- Maintain CCWV phone and VoIP phone systems as necessary and appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements.
- Keep up-to-date on current trends in IT and educational technology and recommend innovative solutions that will enhance the CCWV’s services and offerings
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
- Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
- Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
- Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
- Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
- Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
- Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to work collectively with the administrative team.
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Will be required to travel to other CCWV work locations
Education/Training/Experience:
- High school degree and 1 to 2 years of practical IT experience or higher preferred.
- A+ Network certification is highly desired.
