Maschmeyer Concrete Company of Florida is seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to join our team in the Tampa, Florida area. This position will focus on providing technical assistance to end users while maintaining IT equipment throughout the region.

The IT Technical Support Specialist will be based in the Tampa Bay Region and be part of a statewide IT team. This is a full-time, in-office position with required full availability. In addition, Project timelines will vary depending on the project and may include weekend, early-morning, or after-hours work to best support the business with minimal interruption.

Qualifications, knowledge, and skills:

• 1-2 years relevant industry experience.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent in information technology, computer science, or related field
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience working with networking equipment (routers, switches and hubs)
• Experience providing technical assistance to end users, preferred
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft Outlook/Exchange environments
• Previous experience utilizing ticketing systems
• A+ Certification or other related training or certifications, preferred
• Valid Driver License with driving record that meets company standard
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while prioritizing tasks, incident requests, and projects.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance when notified via the ticketing system, phone, and/or email.
• Responsible for assembling, deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware in, user environments. Equipment setup onsite and at other locations.
• Isolate the nature of system failures or PC problems and utilize diagnostic utilities in order to troubleshoot problems; test the connectivity of devices (wired and wireless); perform procedures necessary for backing-up systems; perform system upgrades
• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, troubleshooting, and configuring systems and applications.
• Connecting printers/scanners/copiers
• Ensure hardware inventory tracking is up to date, and spare inventory is stocked and accounted for.
• Ensure issues are handled with proper priority and communication, performing post-resolution follow-ups and escalating problems to the IT Senior Staff when necessary.
