Salary Range: $16.56/HR at Step 1 to $24.82/HR at Step 20. Depending on current qualification and certifications, candidates may be eligible for IT Technician II or IT Technician III. Contact Human Resources if you would like to review these job descriptions. Job Duties
Supports all Saline County department end users by providing technical assistance to resolve hardware and software problems that County users report. Serves as the primary contact point when users report any hardware and software problems to the helpdesk. Reports status changes and problems to the IT Director or other IT staff. Prioritizes support calls as needed. Maintains a master desktop computer list and software inventory. Application support will include but not limited to Commvault, Crowdstrike, Cartegraph, Karpel, Odyssey and Microsoft office applications. Required to build and deploy desktop computers that requires a unique set-up application software installed prior to deployment. Administers, maintains, and installs Saline County EDR software Crowdstrike and ensures all computers deployed have the appropriate software installed prior to deploying. Monitors and maintains all aspects of the backup and restore functions and verifies backups are run according to set schedules. Performs any restores required. Monitors and maintains the VEEAM backup application used by the Health Department. Participates in training opportunities offered by Commvault and VEEAM with the requirement of completing first level Commvault product certification. Acts as the webmaster and monitors internal and external websites to ensure the sites are operating properly and content is current. Trains users to use the content management application. Manages the County"s website via the govbuilt content management system Minimum Qualifications
1. Must have a High School diploma or the equivalent.
2. Must have a valid Driver"s License and be insurable under Saline County"s fleet insurance policy.
3. A Plus certification is desired.
4. Must receive basic certification on the Commvault backup application software within one (1) year of employment.
5. Above average working knowledge of the following technology:
Microsoft 365 software suite.
Microsoft desktop and server system operating systems.
Microsoft active directory.
Cisco networking.
Web content management software.
Computer imaging software.
6. Must have great communication skills.
Physical Requirements
Determined Work Level: Level 3 Medium Work: The applicant must attain a 2.5 score or above score on
their physical capacity profile. Exerting up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 25
pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly. An ability
to hear. An ability to communicate ideas by means of the spoken word. Must have fine and gross manual
dexterity to operate a computer, a telephone, a calculator and an electric typewriter. Veteran's Preference
